BLIC 6601-02-9522885P – lower engine cover

The BLIC lower engine cover (oil pan guard, splash shield) protects the underside of the engine bay from mechanical damage - from stones, mud and water thrown up by the wheels - while also improving underbody aerodynamics and limiting contamination of engine parts.

When to replace the cover

• Cracks or broken sections of the cover after hitting an obstacle
• Damaged or torn-out mounting points that prevent the cover from being held securely
• A deformed cover rubbing against moving parts (wheel, driveshaft)
• Partial detachment visible when inspecting the underside of the vehicle

Material

The cover is made of ABS plastic with a PVC admixture, which provides resistance to impacts and to moisture and road salt, while retaining enough flexibility to limit cracking at low temperatures.

Application

A part dedicated to the left side of the bumper, compatible with the Volkswagen Golf III (1H1, 1H5) and VW Vento (1H2) from 1991-1999, matching OEM number 1H6 805 825B. Before buying, confirm the production year and body version.

Installation

Installation involves bolting or clipping the cover into the original mounting points under the front bumper - it requires no specialist tools beyond a standard set of wrenches.
