Use

The ignition coil converts the car battery voltage into a voltage of thousands of volts, needed to produce an electric spark at the spark plug. This spark ignites the air-fuel mixture in the engine cylinder. A faulty ignition coil causes rough engine running, loss of power, increased fuel consumption and a lit engine warning light.
