Demeras 3M5Q6K271AB - cylinder head valve cover

The valve cover (rocker cover) is the part that closes the top of the engine's cylinder head, protecting the valve train from contaminants and preventing oil leaks from the engine compartment. In many designs the cover also includes an additional oil filler opening.

When to replace the valve cover

The cover itself is a durable part, but over time the gasket on its edge may leak. A symptom is a visible wet oil patch on the engine housing, which darkens over time with dust and dirt. Cracks in the cover's plastic, for example after overheating or impact, also require replacing the whole part.

Material and construction

• Body made of PA plastic reinforced with 30% glass fiber (PA+30% GF) - resistant to high temperature and corrosion
• Rubber gasket, ensuring a sealed connection to the cylinder head
• Direct replacement for the original cover (OEM)

Application

The part fits 1.6 HDI diesel engines used in, among others, models of the PSA group (Citroën/Peugeot). Installation requires no special tools - just a set of wrenches and a new gasket, if one is not included.

Specifications

Before buying, verify compatibility with your specific vehicle model and year using the VIN or the original OEM part number.
