FEBEST 0512-6GG - front right drive shaft

The FEBEST drive shaft is a driveline component that transmits torque from the gearbox (differential) to the road wheel. It contains constant velocity joints at both ends, which compensate for suspension movement and wheel steering while driving. A damaged shaft shows up as knocking when turning, vibrations when accelerating or grease leaking from the joint boot.

Application

The shaft is designed to be fitted on the right front side of the vehicle. It fits selected versions of the Mazda 6 (GG, GH, GY bodies), including the sedan, estate and hatchback from 2002-2013. Before buying, confirm that the part is compatible with your specific car, because drive shafts differ depending on the engine version and gearbox.

Technical parameters

The shaft length is 399 mm, and the external splines on both the wheel side and the differential side have 28 teeth. The part is brand new, produced by FEBEST as a replacement for original parts.

Installation

Replacing a drive shaft requires lifting the vehicle, removing the wheel and disconnecting the shaft from the hub and gearbox. Because of the complexity of the job, installation at a car workshop is recommended.
