Oil filter housing cover for BMW models

A replacement oil filter housing cover (cap) intended for many BMW models, including the 3, 5, 6 series, X1, X3, X5, X6 and Z4 with various engine variants. The part seals the oil filter housing and is one of the more common sources of oil leaks after years of vehicle use.

Why replace the cover

As the car ages, the plastic the cap is made of loses elasticity and may crack or deform, leading to small but persistent oil leaks around the filter. Replacing it with a new, matching cover eliminates this problem without touching the whole filter housing.

Material and workmanship

The cover is made of plastic resistant to high temperature and contact with engine oil. It is manufactured to the dimensions of the original part, which ensures an exact thread fit and a tight closure of the filter housing.

Part number

Matches the original OEM number 11427525334 and the replacement numbers 917056, B11003, 1190779083 and 0410003.

Installation

Installation consists of unscrewing the old, damaged cover and screwing the new one in its place - a task that can be done yourself with basic knowledge of engine construction.
