HENGCHUG - electronic throttle body Toyota Prius

The throttle body (electronic throttle) regulates the amount of air entering the engine in response to a signal from the accelerator pedal, processed electronically by the engine control unit. In modern hybrid engines, such as the one in the Toyota Prius, precise throttle operation directly affects smooth driving and the cooperation of the combustion engine with the hybrid system.

Symptoms of a faulty throttle

• Uneven engine idling
• Vehicle jerking during acceleration
• Check engine light on the dashboard
• Loss of power or engine limp mode

Construction

A plug-and-play electronic unit designed for fast and quiet response to the signal from the accelerator pedal. Simple installation without the need for additional mechanical calibration, although in some cases the engine control unit may require adaptation after connecting the new throttle.

Application

The part is compatible with numbers 220300T110, 22030-0T110, 2203037050 and is intended for 1.8 Hybrid engines fitted in the Toyota Prius (ZVW3_, ZVW4_, ZVW5_) and Toyota Prius+ from 2009-2015 and later. Engine code SERA526-01.

Installation

Replacement requires disconnecting the battery, removing the old throttle from the intake manifold and connecting the new one together with the wiring harness - recommended at a workshop experienced with hybrid vehicles.
