Alko 1213889 brake shoe set for 2050 and 2051 brakes

A set of shoes with friction linings intended for Alko wheel brakes of types 2050 and 2051, used on trailer axles. One set serves one axle. The shoes are made for a drum with an inner diameter of 200 mm and have a lining width of 50 mm.

Use

Brake shoe linings wear with mileage, so in a trailer drum brake they are replaced in pairs across the whole axle. The set is marked with manufacturer number 1213889, which makes it easier to match to Alko axles.

Technical data

Tips

Before ordering, check the marking on the axle's brake backing plate to make sure it is this brake type. When replacing, it is worth cleaning the drum, checking its condition and the spring set. Brake system components directly affect safety, so the work is best left to a workshop.

This is a classic drum brake, and a trailer with such an axle requires regular checks of lining thickness. The available Alko 2051 variant has the same shoe dimension as the 2050.
