SKF VKML 86000 - timing chain kit

The SKF VKML 86000 timing chain kit contains all the parts needed for a complete replacement of the timing drive in 2.0 dCi/CDTI diesel engines used jointly by the Renault-Nissan and Opel/Vauxhall groups. The product is made to OE (Original Equipment) specifications, which ensures dimensional and material compatibility with the factory-fitted part.

Application

The kit fits, among others, the Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail, Renault Espace IV, Laguna III, Trafic II and Koleos, as well as the Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro with the 2.0 dCi/CDTI engine from approx. 2001-2014. It corresponds to the original part numbers, including Nissan 13028-00Q0A, Opel/Vauxhall 93198575, 93198847, 44 52 569 and Renault 82 00 918 797 and 77 01 476 597. Because it is used across several brands, it is worth comparing the OEM number on your old part before buying.

Why replace the complete kit

Replacing only the chain without the guides and tensioner is a common service mistake - worn guides and a worn tensioner can cause the new chain to stretch quickly or jump a tooth, which upsets the timing. Fitting the complete kit removes this risk and lets you plan a single, longer workshop downtime.
