The K&N 57-2557 FIPK intake system replaces the factory air filter and air intake housing on select Ford F150 models. K&N intakes are designed to reduce intake restrictions by smoothing and evening out airflow. This gives you more power and better acceleration throughout the engine's rev range. The 57-2557 air intake has a chrome K&N high-flow filter and a heat shield that replaces the previous air box. Air is directed past the mass air sensor through an aerodynamic intake tube to the engine's throttle body, delivering a power gain. The tube includes the factory crankcase vent hose. The cone air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before service is required, depending on driving conditions. Installing the air intake is relatively simple and usually takes 90 minutes or less, using existing factory mounting points. A screwdriver, socket set and a few wrenches are needed for installation. The K&N 57 FIPK Series is legal in all 50 US states and covered by the K&N Million Mile limited warranty.
