Universal car throttle cable

The throttle cable (accelerator pedal cable) mechanically connects the gas pedal in the cabin to the throttle body or carburetor in the engine bay, transferring the movement of the driver's foot into opening the throttle. It is a critical part for the engine to respond properly when the gas pedal is pressed.

Construction

The cable is made of stainless steel with aluminum fittings and ferrules that protect the ends from fraying. The universal length of 61 cm allows it to fit many gas pedal setups, both factory and non-original - in some cases additional mounting parts may be needed.

Symptoms of a worn throttle cable

• Delayed or uneven engine response when the gas pedal is pressed
• Difficulty holding a steady engine speed

Installation
