HUAKAYO – heat shrink tubing set for models

The heat shrink tubing in this set consists of 426 heat shrink tubes with a 5:1 shrink ratio, available in 7 popular sizes from 2.4 mm to 19.1 mm in diameter. The set combines 89 extended tubes 90 mm long and 337 standard tubes 45 mm long, so you can choose the right sleeve both for small connections and for larger wire bundles in RC models.

Construction and operation

The tubes have a dual-wall construction – the inner layer of hot-melt adhesive fills the space around the wire during heating, creating a durable, waterproof and oil-resistant seal, while the outer polyolefin layer protects against abrasion and mechanical damage. After heating, the tubes shrink to about one fifth of their original diameter, fitting tightly around the wire or connector.

Applications

The heat shrink tubing is suitable for repairing and insulating wires in RC models, cars, boats, campervans and trailers, as well as for general electrical work – soldering motor, speed controller or battery connections in modelling. These are practical heat shrink tubes, that is a set of black heat shrink tubing, useful as insulation for RC wires.
