RETNE – starter kit for creating a forest in a jar

A forest in a jar is a miniature garden enclosed in a glass vessel that, once set up, maintains its own water cycle and requires very little care. The RETNE kit contains the materials needed to build the layers of such a terrarium – you only need to add a container and small plants.

What you will find in the kit

• expanded clay as a drainage layer, about 1 liter,
• plant substrate, about 3 liters,
• decorative gravel, sand, pebbles and river stones.

This is the largest variant of the kit, which lets you fill a large container and create an eye-catching composition.

How to set up a forest in a jar

Pour expanded clay into the bottom of the container, which collects excess water. Lay a layer of substrate on it and plant moisture-loving plants, for example mosses, ferns or fittonias. Decorate the surface with pebbles and sand, lightly mist with water and close the jar. Place it in a bright spot, but out of direct sunlight.

A plant terrarium is an original decoration for a home and office as well as an interesting craft project for children and adults.
