Schreiber-Bogen Pont du Gard – cardboard aqueduct model

The Pont du Gard is a Roman aqueduct in France, one of the most famous ancient structures. This is a cardboard model to assemble by hand. The Aue-Verlag publishing house prepared its cardboard model at 1:300 scale in the Schreiber-Bogen series. It is a kit for adult modelers who like precise work and want to build a historic structure themselves and then display it on a shelf.

What the kit looks like

The model consists of cardboard sheets printed with details of stone arches and piers. The parts have to be cut out, folded and glued according to the instructions, so the work requires patience and accuracy. The finished structure imitates the three tiers of arches of the famous aqueduct.

Who it is for

• for fans of cardboard models and architecture,
• for collectors of historic structures,
• as a gift idea for a fan of ancient Rome.
