Benning EV 3-3 – test adapter for electric car charging stations

The Benning EV 3-3 is an instrument for electricians and service shops that install or inspect electric vehicle charging stations. The adapter plugs into a charging post with a type 2 plug and simulates the presence of a car, so you can check the operation of the station without connecting a real vehicle.

What you can check

• simulation of vehicle states A, B, C and D,
• analysis of CP and PP signals: voltage, frequency and duty cycle,
• protective conductor (PE) test,
• tripping of 30 mA AC and 6 mA DC residual current devices with time measurement,
• phase sequence and fault simulation, including CP-PE short circuits.

Work in the field

The device comes in a bag together with batteries, so it is easy to take to a site. Combined with an installation tester, it allows acceptance and periodic measurements of charging stations to be carried out.
