BGS 9021 – fuel filter wrench for diesel engines

A specialist fuel filter wrench for five-cylinder diesel engines in Volvo and VW Crafter vehicles. The filter housing on these engines has a distinctive cover that cannot be safely loosened with a strap wrench – the BGS 9021 grips it precisely and transfers torque without the risk of cracking.

Applications

• Volvo C30, C70, S40, S60, S80, V50, V60, V70, XC60, XC70, XC90,
• VW Crafter with the 5-cylinder diesel from 2006,
• equivalent to OEM tools Volvo 9997084 and VW T50011.

Construction

The wrench is made of aluminium, and the 10 mm (3/8 inch) square drive lets you use a ratchet or a torque wrench. This allows you to tighten the new fuel filter to the correct torque, which prevents air intake and leaks.

The tool is light and flat, so it fits in a tight engine bay and in a toolbox. It will be useful in workshops servicing fleets and in Volvo service centres.
