BGS 9565 – glow plug removal and thread repair set

A professional 41-piece set for the situation every diesel engine mechanic fears: a broken glow plug in the cylinder head. The BGS 9565 set lets you remove the remains, clean the seat and carry out glow plug thread repair for M8 x 1 and M10 x 1, without removing the cylinder head.

• 5 taps, including M8 x 1.0 and M10 x 1.0,
• 4 twist drills and 3 step drills,
• centering sleeves and pulling screws,
• 6 sockets for unscrewing the electrode,
• brushes for cleaning the hole and pin wrenches.

Procedure

First, the broken part is drilled out using the centering sleeves, then pulled out with a pulling screw. A tap with a ratchet handle refreshes the thread, and brushes remove carbon deposits from the channel. New glow plugs can then be screwed in. Every tap in the set has its size marked.
