D.I.D 420D Drive Chain

The D.I.D drive chain in size 420 is a standard drivetrain component used mainly in smaller-displacement motorcycles, scooters and mopeds. D.I.D is one of the recognized motorcycle chain manufacturers on the market, valued for consistent build quality and good strength parameters.

Parameters and construction

The chain is supplied in the standard version, without sealing rings, in an open form with a clip-type connecting link, which makes DIY installation easier without the need for a specialized riveting tool. The tensile strength declared by the manufacturer is about 1800 kg, and the chain length is 120 links, which corresponds to typical applications in smaller drive units.

Use and replacement

Replacing the drive chain is necessary when it shows stretching, corrosion or stiff links that hinder smooth drivetrain operation. Regularly checking the chain tension and condition extends the life of the sprockets and ensures safe, smooth riding. Before buying, compare the number of links and the 420 size with the factory-fitted chain on your motorcycle.
