flintronic – 12 V, 80 W electric oil pump

A compact oil pump powered from a car battery. It lets you perform oil extraction through the dipstick tube, without getting under the car and without unscrewing the drain plug. It is a convenient solution in the garage, for motorcycles, boats, lawn mowers and generators.

Parameters

• 12 V DC supply, 80 W power, current approx. 5 A,
• flow approx. 1 l/min for oil at 40–60°C,
• battery clamps and a switch,
• suction and discharge hoses and a handle.

How to use

The engine should be warmed up slightly, because engine oil at operating temperature flows much faster. You slide the suction hose into the dipstick tube, direct the outlet into a container and connect the clamps. The 12 V pump also pumps diesel fuel.

Limitations

The device is not intended for gasoline, alcohol or water. This kind of oil change by extraction is clean and fast, but it is worth checking whether the dipstick tube in a given engine reaches the bottom of the sump.
