FreeTec FT0042BL – 13-piece chain breaking and riveting set

A set for cutting and riveting motorcycle drive chains and engine timing chains. The chain riveting tool lets you shorten a new chain to size, knock out an old pin and rivet a link without a trip to the workshop. Every item has its place in the case, so nothing gets lost in the workshop.

Case contents

• chain press with spindle,
• 3 push-out pins: 2.2 / 2.9 / 3.8 mm,
• riveting tool and three anvils,
• lever and handle,
• blue system case.

Applications

The tool handles typical motorcycle chains in pitches from 35 to 630. Hardened tool steel withstands knocking out firmly seated pins. With timing chains, the set is useful for cutting an old chain without removing the sprockets and for riveting a new one in place.

After riveting, check that the link moves freely, and tension the drive chain according to the motorcycle's manual.
