FreeTec FT4001H – 24-piece brake caliper set

A complete set for servicing calipers when replacing pads, especially rear ones, where the piston has to be wound in and pressed in at the same time. It includes spindles with right-hand and left-hand threads, so it can handle calipers on both sides of the vehicle.

Contents of the case

• 2 spindles – with right-hand and left-hand threads,
• 18 disc adapters with different pin layouts, including a 3-pin adapter,
• 2 backing plates,
• 2 hangers for suspending the caliper,
• a case with a moulded insert.

How it works

The plate is braced against the caliper, an adapter matching the notches in the piston is selected, and the spindle is turned. The hangers let you set the removed caliper aside so that it does not hang on the brake hose, which protects it from damage. Magnets in the holders keep the adapter in place during work.

The parts are made of 45 carbon steel, sandblasted for protection against rust. The brake caliper set fits a very wide range of European, Japanese and American cars – from small city cars to SUVs.
