Six-finger auto body hook for pulling dents

A metal auto body hook in the form of a claw with six independent fingers. It screws onto a slide hammer (inertia hammer) and hooks onto several washers or wires welded to the panel with a stud welder at once. As a result the force is spread over a wider strip of sheet metal, and dent pulling goes more evenly than with a single hook.

Construction

Use

The claw works well on long, linear dents on sills, doors, fenders and wheel arch edges, where you need to pull a whole section rather than a single point. Such auto body hooks are standard in a workshop that does post-collision body repair. Before buying, check the thread of your hammer – the sleeve is intended for typical slide hammers from stud welder kits.
