vidaXL 210368 – 11-piece piston tool set

A set of piston tools needed for an engine rebuild: for removing and installing rings, cleaning grooves and sliding the piston into the cylinder. The set is well suited to an engine workshop, as well as to enthusiasts restoring classic cars and motorcycles.

• several clamp bands – a ring compressor band with a self-locking ratchet,

• a groove cleaning tool with three blades,
• a band wrench and a case.

How it works

The pliers expand the piston rings only enough to slide them off the piston without cracking or deforming them. The band compresses the set of rings to the piston diameter and the ratchet maintains the pressure, so the piston slides into the cylinder with one light tap of a hammer handle. The scraper removes carbon deposits from the grooves before new rings are fitted.

The parts are made of alloy steel. A proper engine rebuild requires precision – these tools reduce the risk of damage.
