A pipe calibrator is a basic tool for an installer. After cutting, a multilayer pipe loses its perfectly round cross-section, and its edge can be sharp and uneven. This small tool restores the correct shape of the end and lets you fit a fitting without damaging the seal.

Three most popular diameters

The tool handles pipes with diameters of Ø16, Ø20 and Ø26 mm, the sizes most commonly found in home water and heating installations. One tool replaces several separate mandrels.

Calibrating and chamfering in one

After cutting, you insert the end of the pipe into the right opening and turn the tool. This removes burrs, chamfers the edge and evens out the cross-section. A clean, chamfered end makes it easier to slide on a press or compression fitting.

Use

The tool is intended for PEX-AL-PEX, PEX and PER pipes in plumbing installations. It works by hand and needs no power or batteries.
