Core battery of the 18 V XR series

The DCB184 is an 18 V XR lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 5 Ah. It powers all DeWALT tools from the 18 V XR platform: drills, impact drivers, grinders, saws, rotary hammers, lights and vacuums. A capacity of 5 Ah is a good compromise between run time and weight, so the battery works well in both light and more power-hungry tools.

Charge indicator

On the housing there is a three-LED charge level indicator, activated by a button. The battery charges in DeWALT XR chargers for 10.8-18 V and in multi-voltage chargers. It weighs about 0.6 kg, so it does not overly burden compact tools.

The DCB184 is a good choice as a spare battery for a kit or as a battery for tools bought without one. The housing is resistant to typical knocks on a construction site.
