New cell technology

POWERSTACK batteries differ from classic XR packs in their construction: instead of cylindrical cells, they have flat stacked cells. As a result, a 5 Ah battery is noticeably smaller than a traditional XR battery of the same capacity and delivers more power under heavy load, for example when drilling with a hammer drill or cutting with a circular saw.

Compatibility

The batteries work with the entire DeWALT 18V XR system – drills, drivers, grinders, saws and vacuum cleaners – and charge in standard XR chargers. Each battery has an LED charge indicator.
