Power without carbon brushes

The DWE4357 is a corded 125 mm angle grinder with a brushless 1700 W motor. The absence of carbon brushes means the most common servicing task on grinders is eliminated, and the motor runs cooler and is more compact. Electronic speed control lets you reduce the speed for wire brushes, flap discs and polishing, and at maximum the spindle turns at about 10,500 rpm.

Safety

• electronic brake that quickly stops the disc after the switch is released
• electronic clutch that shuts off the motor if the disc jams

• restart protection after a power interruption

The motor winding is protected against abrasive dust with epoxy resin, and the quick-release nut lets you change the disc without a wrench.
