Tacklife DMS03 LCD wire detector

The Tacklife DMS03 LCD wire detector is a multifunction device that gives you 5 operating modes. You can locate wooden studs in the additional and deep modes, reaching 0.75 inch (20 mm) and 1.5 inch (38 mm) respectively. In addition, it will detect ferrous metals up to 4.75 inches (120 mm) and non-ferrous metals up to 3.125 inches (80 mm) behind walls. It is also possible to find live AC wires up to 2 inches (50 mm) deep and to test the moisture of wood and other building materials in the ranges of 5% to 50% and 1.5% to 33%.

It is worth noting the 3 indicator lights with an audible alarm. As the wall scanner approaches an object behind the surface, the indicator lights change color from green to yellow and then red, indicating the distance. In addition, an audible alarm is activated when an object is detected, the sound frequency increases, and a flashing indicator appears on the screen.

The device provides accurate detection with a signal strength display. Thanks to the function that detects the center of wooden studs directly and, for metal objects, from the edge to the center, you will get more accurate results. The displayed signal strength in percent will help you determine the distance between the detector and the studs. With the AC metal wire mode, you will get depth information as well as the ability to distinguish magnetic metals from non-magnetic ones.

In addition, the Tacklife DMS03 LCD wire detector has an additional backlight function. You can conveniently switch units between inch/cm, turn the sound on and off, and use automatic shut-off after 5 minutes of inactivity. The device is simple to use, has a backlit LCD screen and a rear pad for detection in various conditions.
