YGQ AVR voltage regulator for a power generator

An automatic voltage regulator (AVR) intended for single-phase power generators rated from 5000 to 9500 W. A replacement part for popular generators powered by GX340/GX390 series engines and similar 11-15 HP units, used in home and workshop generators.

Use

The regulator works with generators from many brands on the market, including designs based on Honda engines and their equivalents, as well as units powered by engines of 338-459 cm³ displacement. It keeps the generator's output voltage stable, compensating for fluctuations in load and engine speed.

Installation and adjustment

• The required output voltage is set by turning the adjustment screw on the module.
• When connecting to the generator's carbon brushes, keep the notch orientation marked on the housing to ensure correct polarity.
• Carbon brushes are also included, which makes it easy to replace worn parts of the excitation system at the same time.

Advantages

The compact design and universal mounting allow relatively easy installation in place of the original regulator in many generator designs. This part is a replacement component and has no power source of its own – it must be connected to the generator's existing circuit.
