Allevyn Life dressings are self-adhesive foam dressings intended for managing exuding wounds, used in professional care of chronic and postoperative wounds. The pack contains 10 sterile dressings measuring 12.9 x 12.9 cm. The product belongs to the category of specialist dressings, intended for use as advised by a nurse or doctor.

How it works

The foam structure of the dressing absorbs excess exudate from the wound, maintaining a moist environment that promotes healing and reducing the risk of maceration of the skin around the wound. The outer layer is waterproof, so the dressing also protects the wound during brief contact with water.

Use and application

The dressing adheres to the skin by itself, with no need for additional fixing with tape or a bandage, which makes it easier to apply and later remove without irritating the wound. It is suitable for caring for surgical wounds, pressure sores, leg ulcers and chronic exuding wounds. Thanks to its flexible structure, the dressing conforms well to the shape of the body, for example around the sacrum or heel.
