Garmin 010-12117-04 – 25 m mast cable for gWind Race wind sensor

This 25-meter mast cable runs along a sailboat's mast and connects a gWind or gWind Race wind sensor to the rest of the boat's navigation system. It is typical installation cabling for sailors fitting Garmin electronics on the mast.

Construction

The cable has a black plastic braided sheath and does not tangle, which makes it easier to route inside or outside the mast during installation. The cable is designed for outdoor use, so it withstands conditions on an open deck.

What it is for

The cable carries the signal from the gWind Race wind sensor mounted at the masthead to the control unit or NMEA 2000 network on the boat. It is also available in a 40-meter version for taller masts, so before buying it is worth measuring your mast height and choosing the right length.
