Garmin 010-12527-00 - power and audio module for GXM 53 antenna

This cable is a power and audio module designed to work with the Garmin GXM 53 antenna. The electronics integrated into the cable supply the antenna with power and a data link, while also routing its audio signal on to the navigation device for playback.

Connectors and construction

The cable ends on one side with a dedicated connector for the GXM 53 antenna and on the other with a 3.5 mm jack audio output, which connects to the headphone socket or audio input of a compatible device. The cable has three signal pins and black connector housings.

Use

The module is part of the GXM 53 antenna installation and does not receive a signal itself - its job is to power the antenna and pass data and audio on to the navigation system. It is useful as a replacement for a damaged or lost original cable in an existing GXM 53 antenna installation.
