Thru-hull transducer for a flat bottom

The Airmar B175HW is a 1 kW thru-hull fish finder transducer which, unlike the deadrise-angle versions, is intended for mounting locations without hull slope – that is, where the bottom of the hull at the installation point is practically flat. The housing is made of bronze resistant to corrosion in salt water and designed to protrude only minimally beyond the hull, which makes installation easier without additional fairing.

CHIRP support

The transducer supports CHIRP technology, so the fish finder distinguishes individual fish from the bottom structure more clearly than with a classic single-frequency signal. It works both for finding schools of fish and for reading the shape of the bottom at greater depths.

Connector and compatibility

The model has an 8-pin connector, compatible with some Garmin fish finders and chartplotters that support this standard. Before buying, check the socket type on your device, because not every Garmin unit uses an 8-pin plug, and older and newer series may require a different type of cable.
