Ferric chloride (III) 40% – 1 l solution

An aqueous solution of iron (III) chloride, i.e. ferric chloride with the formula FeCl3, at a concentration of 40% and a volume of 1 liter. It is a classic reagent used by hobby electronics enthusiasts for etching printed circuit boards, in which the solution dissolves the unprotected copper layer on the laminate.

The product is sold in a 1000 ml bottle by Synthetika. It lets you make PCB prototypes yourself in a home workshop, after transferring the track pattern onto a copper-clad laminate.

The solution should be used with care: work wearing gloves and safety glasses, in a well-ventilated place, in a chemical-resistant container, and hand over the used solution for proper disposal.
