Fizik Performance Microtex - handlebar tape

Handlebar tape is a piece of equipment for road and gravel bikes that improves grip comfort and the look of the handlebar. The Performance model from Fizik is made of Microtex material, imitating a leather texture, at 2 mm thickness.

Material and texture

Microtex is a thin but durable synthetic material designed for precise steering and handlebar feel during sport riding. The perforated, leather-like texture gives the tape a classic look while providing hand grip even during intense effort and sweat.

Water resistance and durability

The tape is waterproof, which allows riding in changing weather conditions without worrying about quick damage to the material. Thanks to its small thickness, it does not significantly increase the handlebar diameter in the hand, which is appreciated by cyclists who prefer direct contact with the handlebar.

Installation

The set includes end plugs to finish the tape at the brake levers and at the ends of the handlebar. Wrapping consists of winding the tape in a spiral from the bottom of the handlebar toward the stem, keeping a light tension for even coverage and no creases.
