Okared – protective rim tapes for bicycle rims

A rim tape is an inconspicuous but important element between the inner tube and the rim, protecting the tube from punctures on the side of the spoke holes. The set of two pieces is enough for replacement on both wheels of a bike.

Material and construction

• Made of eco-friendly, safe PVC
• The PVC insert provides more flexibility than ordinary rubber
• The valve hole is made using heat-welding technology – more durable than glued solutions
• Waterproof, resistant to moisture when riding off-road

Dimensions and use

A single tape is 66 cm long and 20 mm wide, which corresponds to 26-inch bicycle rims. It is a practical replacement for inner tube punctures caused by the sharp edges of spoke holes in rims without a factory tape or with a worn, cracked cover.

Installation

Installation involves wrapping the tape around the inner side of the rim before fitting the inner tube and tire – this way the spoke holes are fully covered.
