The Amazon Essentials swim shirt is a lightweight rash guard sports shirt designed to be worn for kitesurfing, wakeboarding, swimming and other water activities. It protects the skin from chafing caused by contact with the harness, board or sand, and from excessive sun exposure during long sessions on the water.

The fabric has a UPF 50 sun protection factor, which limits the penetration of UV radiation to the skin - important during many hours in the sun and on the water, where reflected rays increase the risk of sunburn.
