ATOMIC Shift Touring – ski touring bindings

ATOMIC Shift bindings combine the advantages of two worlds of alpine skiing: the lightness of typical tech bindings used for climbing and the confidence of the DIN rating known from downhill alpine bindings. It is a solution for people who want to skin uphill and ski down safely in more challenging terrain with a single set of equipment.

Hybrid technology

The binding has Multi-Norm certification, meaning it is compatible both with boots fitted with tech pins (touring mode) and with classic alpine boots complying with the ISO 5355 standard. Switching between climbing and downhill mode is done by changing the position of the front and rear parts of the binding.

Safety and adjustment

• DIN release range from 5 to 13, suitable for more advanced skiers
• Compatibility with brakes of 90, 100, 110 and 120 mm widths
• Brakes included in the set
• 30 mm stand height providing adequate clearance under the boot

Use

The bindings work well for ski touring and freeride off-piste, where both lightness on the climb and reliable release protection on a dynamic descent matter.
