BEKATEQ BE-400 – yacht varnish for maintaining wooden boat parts

BE-400 varnish from the German brand BEKATEQ is a polyurethane wood varnish designed specifically for maintaining and restoring wooden parts of boats, yachts and sailboats. It works as both a primer and a topcoat, which simplifies maintenance work and shortens the time needed to refinish a surface.

Water resistance

The coating is resistant to both fresh water and sea water, so it works excellently as protection for rails, decks, rudders and other wooden parts of vessels exposed to constant contact with water. Additional impact resistance increases the durability of the coating during boat use.

Quick drying and UV protection

Thanks to a special formula, the varnish dries faster than traditional alkyd resin varnishes - it is dust-dry after approx. 4 hours, and the next coat can be applied after 24 hours. The UV filters it contains prevent the coating from yellowing in the sun, which matters for parts exposed to sunlight throughout the sailing season.

Use

The varnish is suitable not only for sports and recreational boats but also for wooden structures and garden furniture, which makes it a versatile maintenance product. Coverage is about 10 m² per liter, and the finish has a silky matte character.
