GOLDCHAMP GC-816B - pocket wind meter for kitesurfing

The GOLDCHAMP GC-816B wind meter lets a kitesurfer check real wind conditions before going out on the water - wind strength and direction can easily be verified on the beach before deciding to set up a kite of the right size. The device is small enough to fit in a pocket of shorts or a harness.

Measurement and accuracy

The anemometer measures wind speed in the range of 0.3-30 m/s with an accuracy of ±5%, and results can be read in several units - m/s, km/h, mph, knots and ft/min. The device also measures air temperature in the range from -10 to 45 degrees Celsius, so you can assess thermal conditions before a session too.

Features and ease of use

Four measurement modes - maximum, minimum, average and current - make it easier to assess the variability of wind gusts, which matters when planning a kitesurfing session. The backlit LCD display lets you read the result even in poor lighting, and the lightweight, compact housing with an included lanyard makes it easy to carry the device with you.
