Helly Hansen Midlayer 2.0 – sailing jacket

The Midlayer 2.0 jacket from the Norwegian brand Helly Hansen comes from the tradition of sailing apparel - it was originally designed as a waterproof insulating layer for sailors, and today it works equally well on cruises and in everyday outdoor activities. HELLY TECH protection provides full waterproofing, windproofing and breathability.

Warmth and comfort

The inside of the jacket is finished with a Polartec fleece lining, and the sleeves are lined with polyester insulation under taffeta, which makes it easy to put the jacket on over other layers without restricting movement. Articulated elbows and shoulders increase freedom of movement when working on deck in harsher weather.

Construction and details

A reinforced YKK Vislon zipper is fitted at the front, resistant to salt water and heavy use. The hood can be stowed in the collar when not needed, and the brushed tricot lining in the collar and hand pockets adds comfort when worn against bare skin. The jacket has four zippered pockets.

Use

This model is a good choice for sailing, but also as a versatile autumn and winter jacket for outdoor activities, thanks to its full resistance to wind, rain and cold. Available in navy, size L.
