Nenel - Personalized Baptism Candle

A handmade christening candle in beige, made by the Spanish workshop Nenel. It is one of the essential accessories for a baptism ceremony - during the ceremony the priest lights it from the Paschal candle, and the candle then goes to the parents and godparents as a keepsake.

Look and construction

The candle is made of white wax produced in Galicia and decorated with a bamboo ribbon in a subdued beige color. The classic, elegant shape suits the traditional setting of a baptism, and the subtle ribbon adds a special touch. Each piece is made by hand, with attention to finish.

Symbolism

The baptism candle symbolizes the light that is meant to accompany the child throughout life and remind them of the promises made during the sacrament. It is one of the items families keep as a memento of the ceremony - often stored for years as a treasured family keepsake.

Who it is for

The candle is a suitable accessory for the baptism of both a boy and a girl - the neutral beige color fits any style of ceremony. It is also a gift idea for godparents looking for something special and lasting for the occasion.
