JBL AquaBasis plus 2.5 l – nutrient substrate for aquariums

What it is for

AquaBasis plus is a granulated nutrient substrate laid on the bottom of a freshwater aquarium under the actual layer of gravel or sand. It contains nutrients plants need, including iron, and the clay carrier stores them and gradually releases them to the roots.

Benefits

• supports lasting, healthy growth of aquarium plants,
• indirectly limits algae growth, because well-fed plants compete better for nutrients,
• works for a long time, the manufacturer states several years of effect,
• suitable for tanks with fish and shrimp.

How to use

When setting up the aquarium, spread the granules evenly on the bottom, then cover them with a layer of rinsed gravel or sand. This way the nutrient substrate does not cloud the water, and plant roots have constant access to nutrients.

Specifications

This is a proven under-gravel substrate that feeds plant roots for years.
