SWAWIS 13 W aquarium UV sterilizer

A submersible 13 W UV lamp intended for freshwater aquariums where the water turns cloudy from suspended algae or where there are bacteria problems. The UV sterilizer works on a 220 V supply and is attached in the tank with suction cups.

How it works

Ultraviolet light destroys the cells of algae and microorganisms passing near the lamp, so the water regains clarity faster. The lamp tube is protected by thickened covers at both ends, and the set includes a protective cover that limits contact of the radiation with the fish and the user's eyes.

Usage recommendations

• in case of excessive algae growth or sick fish, run the lamp for 1-2 hours a day,
• in a clean aquarium it is enough to run the aquarium UV sterilizer 3-4 times a week for 10-60 minutes,
• do not look directly at the lamp when it is on and do not point the light straight at the fish,
• do not use the device on a 110 V supply.
