Power supply.

The handset can be powered by either 12V - 24V DC (which is often taken from the circuits on electric gate doors) or batteries (4 x C batteries); you can even use both, which gives a battery backup system should the power fail. We can also supply a plug-in 12 V DC transformer (3 or 2-pin) if that is more convenient for the installation. These portable phones are supplied with a cradle powered by a plug-in transformer (3-2-pin set) for charging; when charged, the phones can be moved around.

Output relay.

The call station can trigger a momentary N O or N C output, which can be used to trigger most types of electric gates and doors (if in doubt, please contact us for advice).

Call station.

The weather-resistant silver call station is now supplied as standard with an external hood, which provides extra protection from harsh weather and protection from moisture seeping from walls. When a visitor presses the call button on the call station, the portable handset (or handsets) inside the property will start to ring, allowing the homeowner to answer the call (with one press of a button) and open two-way communication with the visitor. Once the homeowner has established who is calling, they can choose to activate their electric gate, barrier or door (if applicable) using the handset from the comfort of their own home.

Antenna.

We can offer an additional antenna designed to help wireless communication; it is not an antenna amplifier, but an antenna that allows a more direct wireless return path to the handset. The most common use would be to fit the antenna on the back of a large gate post, which immediately removes the blocking of any wireless signals by the gate post.

Indoor handsets:

These portable phones are supplied with a cradle and a charging plug in the chargers; when charged they are fully portable, and multiple phones can be operated from any single system. They have many functions, including:
-Audible, vibrating and flashing signal.

-Handset-to-handset communication (once communication is established, a secure network is set up).
