Malinowe food-grade citric acid, 5 × 1 kg

Citric acid monohydrate (E330) in a set of five 1 kg bags, 5 kg in total. It is a food product from the Polish brand Malinowe, packed in doypack bags with a zip closure that can be resealed many times.

In the kitchen

Citric acid is an organic compound found naturally in citrus fruits. As a food additive it regulates acidity, enhances the flavor of fruit and works as a natural preservative. It is added to preserves, jams, juices, homemade drinks, pickles or homemade lemonade, as well as to cakes and creams.

Beyond the kitchen

The manufacturer also indicates use as a cleaning agent, for example for removing limescale from kettles and coffee machines. Before using it for this purpose, follow the recommendations for the given appliance.

A large multipack makes sense for people who make their own preserves or run a small home production. Store in a dry place, in tightly closed bags.

For home preserves, a natural preservative that lowers pH and limits the growth of unwanted microorganisms is useful. Citric acid is one of the most frequently chosen in the kitchen, and the large quantity in the set lasts for a whole season.
