NORITUAL LAB Ceremonial Matcha 100 g – Japanese matcha

Ceremonial matcha from Japan is a finely ground powder made from young, shade-grown tea leaves from the first spring harvest. The leaves are ground on stone mills, and the product contains no additives, colorings or flavorings. The manufacturer states that the batch is laboratory tested.

Matcha has an intensely green color, a full, slightly sweet and grassy flavor with umami and a creamy texture. It works in traditional preparation with a chawan bowl and a bamboo whisk, as well as in matcha lattes, smoothies, desserts and baked goods. It contains a moderate amount of caffeine, and when drunk as a powder you consume the whole ground leaf.

How to prepare

Sift about half a teaspoon of powder into a bowl, add 70 ml of water at about 80 degrees and whisk vigorously with the whisk until a delicate foam forms.
