Poppstar – self-fusing silicone insulation tape

Poppstar silicone tape has no adhesive layer – instead it bonds to itself within a dozen or so seconds after application, forming a sealed, rubber-like coating. It works as electrical insulation and as a seal in household, workshop and automotive installations.

Insulating electrical connections

The tape withstands voltage up to 8000 V, making it suitable for insulating cable connections and protecting spots exposed to moisture. Once wrapped, it forms a uniform, waterproof coating that protects the connection from corrosion and moisture ingress.

Weather resistant

The material resists UV radiation, oils, acids, salt water and ozone, and the operating range covers temperatures from -30°C to +100°C. The tape stretches to 350% of its original length and withstands a burst load of up to 20 bar, which lets it conform to irregular shapes of cables, hoses and pipes. It leaves no sticky residue when removed.
