Battery pack grip Canon 3D Mark III Travor BG-1J

The Travor BG-1J is an excellent alternative to the original Canon BG-E11 grip, perfectly compatible with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR. It provides all the functions of the original, making it easier to shoot in portrait orientation and providing better handling of the camera, especially with heavy lenses. The grip supplies more power than a standard battery, has two removable magazines: one for additional LP-E6 batteries, the other for alkaline batteries or AA rechargeable batteries. In addition, it is equipped with a shutter release, main and sub-dial, an AE FE lock and other functions, providing convenience for the user.

Tests carried out on the Travor BG-1J for the Canon EOS 5D Mark III confirm that it is an excellent alternative to the original Canon BG-E11 grip, offering similar build quality and functionality, all at a much lower price.

Look and build.
Properly made of high-quality plastic, it provides a comfortable hold. Despite some differences, such as the lack of gold-plated contacts or the need for more force when removing AA batteries, the grip looks neat and solid.

Differences.
Despite slight differences in weight and construction, the replacement offers satisfactory quality and functionality compared with the original. It is worth noting that the original Canon grip may perform better in a professional and demanding environment.

Operation.
Tests show some differences in the operation of individual elements of the grip, but overall it is a product worth considering, especially for photography enthusiasts and slightly less demanding users.

Worth it or not?
In summary, the replacement is ideal for less demanding uses, where extra power and handling comfort matter most. For professionals we recommend the original Canon grip, which guarantees the highest quality and an excellent fit with the camera.
