Bonsai - Chinese elm in a ceramic bowl

This bonsai tree of the species Ulmus parvifolia, the Chinese elm, is a living plant about 6-9 years old, supplied in a decorative ceramic bowl matched to its size. The whole tree is 35-40 cm tall, and its trunk has a naturally curved shape that gives the plant the look of a mature, old tree - typical of classic bonsai art.

Plant characteristics

The Chinese elm is distinguished by small, glossy green leaves that form a dense, compact crown. In cooler climate regions the leaves may turn golden in autumn, which adds variety to the plant's appearance through the year.

Care
