Gima 35953 steam sterilisation indicators – type 5, 500 pieces

Type 5 indicator strips for monitoring the steam sterilisation process in an autoclave. They are placed inside trays, containers or instrument sets to confirm that steam has reached the inside of the load and that the required sterilisation conditions have been achieved. This sterilisation test is a simple way of routine monitoring, and a type 5 indicator lets you assess conditions inside the load, not just outside the packaging.

How the indicator works

After reaching the correct parameters, the indicator clearly changes colour from blue to pink, so the result is easy to read without additional equipment. The test is intended for cycles of 134 °C for 3.5 minutes and 121 °C for 15 minutes.
